Hake will be introduced to chamber members during the Chamber
Round-Up on Friday and will begin her official duties in the chamber
office on Monday.
Hake joins the chamber with leadership experience in both the
not-for-profit and the for-profit sectors. Her 11 years as a leader
within the YMCA provided extensive experience in committee work,
working with volunteers, managing daily operations in a nonprofit
setting and working within a membership-based organization. She has
held various positions at the Kankakee, Clinton and Champaign County
YMCAs, including membership services, program director and interim
executive director.
The new director brings 13-plus years of experience in planning,
organizing and facilitating special events of all sizes and
varieties. Her most recent position was a three-year stint as vice
president of marketing and sales with Sports Publishing, LLC, a
publishing company based out of Champaign.
"Although I live in Lincoln, I've always commuted to the
workplace. I've grown very fond of Logan County, and I look forward
to growing my connections through this position," says Hake. "I have
always valued the services and leadership the chamber offers to its
communities. The idea of being a part of this contribution to a
community is very exciting to me."
A welcome reception for Hake will be on June 20, 11:30 a.m.-1:30
p.m., in the chamber office, 1555 Fifth St.
