Copper water pipes taken

[June 05, 2008]  The Lincoln Police Department has investigated three reports of copper pipe thefts in the following locations:

  • 2200 block of North Kickapoo Street; reported April 24

  • 400 block of North Monroe Street; reported June 4

  • 700 block of North McLean Street; reported June 4

The suspect or suspects are taking the copper water pipes in the residences. All the residences were vacant. The suspect or suspects are entering the residences through windows with air conditioner units or forcing their way inside through a window. The water has been left on and the residences have been flooded.

Anyone with any information concerning any crime in the Lincoln and Logan County area is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 217-732-3000 or contact Crime Stoppers online at http://www.lincolnpolice.us/.
