Tee ball is calling all young people entering kindergarten through
second grade. Learn the fundamentals of baseball, including hitting,
fielding, throwing and base running. Emphasis is on sportsmanship,
teamwork and fun! Roster information will be available at the front
desk. You are encouraged to register very soon so that T-shirts and
caps may be ordered. All athletes must wear sneakers and have their
own ball glove. Tee ball is played on Breezy Field; or, if the
weather is bad, we'll play on the indoor courts. Games are on
Saturday mornings for six weeks. Exploring Sports is another
program for young boys and girls entering kindergarten through
second grades. Learn the basics of tee ball, volleyball and
basketball. Save an hour on Tuesday and Thursday mornings as we
explore the world of sports. Coaches Chris Ciaccio and Brook Eaton
will introduce you to these sports with a guarantee of fun. Register
soon so that T-shirts and caps may be ordered.

Rockets, Kites & S'mores! The name only gives a glimpse of what
our craft class is about. Join us for a week of interactive fun and
learning. We'll make kites from scratch, boomerangs and bake s'mores
in an oven where the heat will come from the sun. Marsha Dahl,
retired teacher and currently a tutor at Lincoln College, brings her
years of classroom experience and love of children to Lincoln Park
District. Don't tell your children, but many of our projects will
serve as nature lessons as well. Recycling, exploring greenhouse
effects and just back-to-the-basics fun will be discovered. Entering
third through fifth grades will meet June 16-20 from 9 to 9:45 a.m.
Young people entering sixth through eighth grades will be the same
week, and their class time is 10-11 a.m.
Our aerobics and spin instructors are featuring a Summer Shape Up
program. Try a group fitness class today! We offer a wide variety of
classes for all fitness levels. Classes are set to motivating music
and are a safe and effective way to stay in shape. Pick up a new
summer schedule today at the front or back desks or visit us online
at
www.lincolnparkdistrict.com.
