The Lincoln Jaycees will host a food drive for
the Lincoln Logan Food Pantry on Saturday at Lincoln Speedway. A
ticket to a drawing for a $25 gas card will be given for each item
donated by the race fans. Suggested items are canned goods, cereal,
peanut butter, shampoo, diapers and any nonperishable items. Along
with the donated items, Lincoln Jaycees will also donate their
portion of the proceeds from that night's 50/50 drawing to the food
pantry.

The Lincoln Jaycees volunteer each week at Lincoln Speedway, selling
50/50 tickets and running the Kids' Club. The proceeds go back to
the community in projects such as Angel Tree and an Easter egg hunt.
The Lincoln Jaycees also recently donated their portion of a 50/50
drawing to Christian Child Care in Lincoln. The Lincoln Jaycees, a
not-for-profit organization that serves Lincoln and the surrounding
communities, gives young people between the ages of 18 and 40 the
tools they need to build the bridges of success for themselves in
the areas of business development, management skills, individual
training, community service and international connections.
The Lincoln Jaycees host various community activities, including
an Easter egg hunt, Senior Feast, Breakfast with Santa and Angel
Tree. They have a variety of management and fundraising projects
such as a haunted house, being a vendor at the Lincoln Art & Balloon
Festival, and the Lincoln Speedway 50/50.
Membership meetings are the third Thursday of every month at 7
p.m. at the Moose Lodge. Meetings are open to the public.
