[June 12, 2008]  Just when roads, culverts, streams, fields and even basements are starting to dry out, the National Weather Service advises that the entire central Illinois area can look for more rain Thursday afternoon through Friday. Although moderate to light amounts of precipitation are expected, there are some heavy bands of rain that will hit some areas of the state.

Concerns about flooding remain high. Fields and streams and state waterways are already overburdened with the runoff of heavy rains from Wisconsin down through northern Illinois.

LDN will keep you posted of any potential problems throughout the day ... or days.
