Master Gardener garden walk this weekend

Send a link to a friend

[June 19, 2008]  Come share the enthusiasm of this year's garden walk hosted by Logan County Master Gardeners. It's on Saturday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., rain or shine.

ChiropracticIn Lincoln, four gardens will be open for viewing. If you enjoy sunny or shade gardens, unusual plants and shrubs, water features, annuals and perennials, they will be featured in the hosts' gardens. At Broadwell, a day lily hybridizer will cheerfully share tips for care and companion plantings. In the country nearby, you will see a handcrafted pergola, flower sculptures and steppingstones, along with abundant day lilies and wildflowers.

Maps are incorporated in the garden walk ticket, and Master Gardeners at each garden will gladly help with directions to the next nearest garden.

Restaurant

Advance tickets may be obtained for $8 per adult from the local Extension office, at the northwest corner of the Logan County Fairgrounds; at Lincoln Antique and Furniture Center, 122 S. McLean St.; or at Graue Chevrolet, 1905 N. Kickapoo St., until business close on Friday. Advance tickets may also purchased from any Logan County Master Gardener. Tickets may be purchased at the gardens the day of the walk at $10 for each adult.
