Motorist advisory: County sealcoat operations begin

Send a link to a friend

[June 19, 2008]  The Logan County Highway Department has begun sealcoat operations for 2008. Sealcoating, commonly referred to as oil and chipping, is used as preventive maintenance on most of the roads in the county.

Approximately 33 miles of county highways will be sealcoated this year at an estimated cost of $350,000. Sealcoating will also be done for the township road districts and several municipalities.

The public's cooperation is always appreciated during our construction season. Please obey all construction signs and avoid driving through fresh oil.

Thank you in advance for your patience as we maintain our local roads.
