Accident reports

Crash on Thursday, June 19, 6:30 p.m., at Union and Eighth streets

Unit 1: Neshia A. Deason, 25-year-old female, Lincoln; driving a 1993 Buick Century

Unit 2: Angela L. Ott, 41-year-old female, Lawndale

Deason's vehicle ran into Ott's car while it was parked.

Deason was traveling northwest on Broadway Street and turned south on Union and struck Ott's vehicle parked on the west side of Union Street. Deason fled the scene of the crash, a witness said. The witness followed her car and notified police. Deason was located at her residence and arrested on charges of DUI and leaving the scene of property damage.

Deason was ticketed

Crash on Friday, June 20, 3:40 p.m., at Fourth and Jefferson streets

Unit 1: Sharon L. Hayes, 58-year-old female, Lincoln; driving a 1999 Dodge Ram

Unit 2: Cory J. Trussell, 34-year-old male, New Holland; driving a 1997 Nissan Altima

Hayes backed out of a private drive into Trussell's parked car. A witness wrote down the license plate number and called police. Officers located Hayes and brought her back to the scene. Hayes admitted backing out of the driveway but did not know she hit Trussell.

Hayes was ticketed

Crash on Thursday, June 19, on Woodlawn Road, one-fourth mile west of Lincoln Parkway

Unit 1: Christopher R. Reed, 21-year-old male, Lincoln; 2007 Honda Civic

Reed stated that he was westbound on Woodlawn in the inside lane. At that time another vehicle also westbound in the outside lane changed lanes in front of Reed, causing him to veer over into the left turn lane for the Kroger store. His vehicle hit the curbing and then flipped over into the ditch. Witnesses said they were in the left turn lane for the Kroger store when Reed turned in front of them, hit the curbing and flipped into the ditch. The witnesses did not see another vehicle change lanes and cut off Reed.

Reed was issued a citation.
