Grain futures close lower on CBOT; beef rises

[June 28, 2008]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures fell Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery fell 30.75 cents to $9.12 a bushel; December corn fell a penny to $7.87 a bushel; December oats lost 2.25 cents at $4.6425 a bushel; November soybeans fell 2 cents to $15.595 a bushel.

Beef futures traded rose and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle rose 2.97 cents to $1.0097 a pound; August feeder cattle rose 0.27 cent to $1.1172 a pound; July lean hogs dipped 0.05 cent to 73.2 cents a pound; July pork bellies rose 0.82 cent to 73.02 cents a pound.
