[March 06, 2008]  University of Illinois Extension in Logan County is offering a training session for day care providers March 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. "Temperamental Traits -- What Makes Each Child Tick" will be presented by Patti Faughn, family life educator with University of Illinois Extension.

Do you wonder why what works well with one child doesn't always work with another? How do inborn traits affect the parent-child or caregiver-child relationship? Assess your own temperament and temperament of your children. Those who attend the training will gain an understanding of temperamental differences to improve parenting and care-giving practices.

Day care providers in attendance will receive two hours of continuing education credit for day care licensing requirements.

The cost is $5. To register for the training, contact the Logan County Extension office at 732-8289 for a registration form. The deadline for registration is March 12.
