Lifesaving Class Offered This Weekend

[March 06, 2008]  Kathy Batley, a Red Cross-certified instructor, is offering a lifesaving skills certification class. The classroom portion will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. It will conclude on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. Classes will be in the Lincoln Park District's main building. Swimming will be conducted at Lincoln College's indoor pool on Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. If necessary, March 15 is reserved from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Cost is $75 for recertification and $175 for the lifeguard who has had no training or previous certifications. The cost includes all necessary books, exams and certification cards from the American Red Cross.

Preregistration is required in order to assure that adequate materials are on hand. You may register with the Lincoln Park District. Call 732-8770 if you have any questions.
