Scholarships will be awarded on basis of exceptional ability or
financial need. Applicants must be a Farm Bureau member, spouse
of a member or a member's child and live on a farm in one of the
following counties: Adams, Champaign, DeWitt, Douglas, Ford,
Iroquois, Logan, Macon, Marion, Mason, McDonough, McLean,
Menard, Moultrie, Peoria, Piatt, Sangamon, Tazewell and
Vermilion. In addition, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, a
high school graduate, and be enrolled in or accepted by a
credited community college, college or university. Additional
eligibility guidelines are outlined in the cover letter with the
application form.
The Balloon Association of Greater Illinois is a nonprofit
organization, incorporated in 1990, to promote the sport of
hot-air ballooning by bringing together pilots and potential
crew. The association currently has approximately 95 members
representing 30 hot-air balloons.

The club is involved in several community outreach programs, such as
education programs at schools and civic organizations and the
scholarship program.
