[March 29, 2008]  The Lincoln Area YMCA will offer several summer day camps, including Kid Camp, Pre-Teen Camp, Junior Leaders Camp and Counselors In Training Camp. These camps are available for children entering kindergarten through ninth grade. Children will swim daily, experience fun field trips, do arts and crafts, hear Bible stories, and much more. Register early in April to avoid price increases. Space is limited.

Do you dream about being Hannah Montana? Join us on April 18 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. for our "Hannah Montana"-themed Y Kids Party. This is a girls only party for second- to fourth-grade girls. Pizza and drink will be provided along with many fun and exciting activities based around the "Hannah Montana" theme. Stop by the Y office today to get your girls signed up.

Sign-up has begun for Adult Wiffle Ball League. This league is for participants 18 years and older and will play on Thursday nights, starting April 24. We welcome teams or individual participants. Gather your friends, co-workers and family members and register today for this new and exciting program.

Registration for spring volleyball has begun and will continue through April 28. Spring volleyball is for children in first through sixth grade. Games will be on Tuesday nights, beginning May 6. Sign up your children today as space is limited.

The Y Run Club had its first meeting on Tuesday. The club will have its first group run on April 26 at Kickapoo Park in Lincoln. We hope to have both novices and experienced runners join us for this run. Runners may register at the Y office.

Purchase your $15 ticket now for the YMCA's second annual "cow chip bingo" for a chance to win $700. You need not be present to win. The YMCA will host the event May 10 from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at the Y Activity Center, 719 Wyatt Ave. Games and contests for both children and adults are planned as well as food and much more fun. Call the YMCA office for more information.
