[May 01, 2008]  SAN JOSE -- The San Jose United Methodist Women will host their annual May Breakfast on Wednesday, May 7, at 9 a.m., in the Fellowship Hall.

Lesleigh Bennett from Lincoln, gospel music's newest artist, will present the program.

Bennett has released her first album, "No Mountain Too High," recorded at the nationally renowned DayWind Studios in Nashville, Tenn. The album features a mix of contemporary Christian, traditional gospel hymns and three original tracks written by top industry professionals.

Lesleigh began her vocal performances as a young girl, singing in church at the age of 5. "Singing was always something natural to me," she says. "God gave me this voice and the least I can do is use it for his glory."

Mrs. Bennett is currently under the management of Hudson Media Concepts out of South Carolina, who also manage groups such as The Ball Brothers and The Martins. She is available to travel and minister to area churches and is delighted to share her talent and testimony.

The event is open to the public. Reservations may be made by contacting Nettie Glover at 247-3474 or Lorraine Shepherd at 247-3247 by Monday.

San Jose United Methodist Church is located at 601 S. First St., at the corner of First and Linden.
