Habitat for Humanity seeks building lots for homes

[May 02, 2008]  The Logan County Habitat for Humanity needs lots in Logan County for future Habitat home builds. By the end of June, Habitat would like to have a lot for a build in Lincoln in 2009.

Since 1993 Habitat has built 11 homes. Two of the homes are in Mount Pulaski, one is in Atlanta, and the other eight are in Lincoln. Ten of these lots were donated to Habitat and one was purchased.

Habitat is hoping that owners of lots in Lincoln and other Logan County towns will consider donating a lot to Habitat. One of the benefits of contributing a lot is the joy of giving a hand up to someone who needs it. Donors can also deduct the value of the lot when filing taxes.

In addition to donations, Habitat will also consider lots that are very reasonably priced.

Those who would like to discuss contributing a lot or selling a lot to Habitat may contact Allen Shew at 732-4605, Cindy Pagel at 737-7388 or e-mail Habitat at habitatlc@hfhlogancounty.com.
