Throughout the day, visitors enjoyed viewing indoor and outdoor
displays. Aviation has a way of bringing people together, and often
those relationships last a long time.

Pass-it-on love of aviation legacy is shared
between these three men. Kevin Johnson (center) from Pekin and Barry
Miller (left) from Lincoln are flight instructors. Johnson taught
Miller to fly 35 years ago. A few years ago Miller taught LCHS
teacher Doug Benz (right) to fly. Johnson and Miller each flew
several loads of riders on Sunday in the 1st Flight airplane that
Johnson flew in from Pekin. |

Three winners were drawn at the conclusion of
Airport Daze.
Winning $317 in the 50-50 drawing was Candice Hunter.
Max Johnson, Moweaqua, won the 6-and-under coloring contest, and
Madison Bishop won the 7-and-under. The children received $20
Wal-Mart gift certificates. |
