Auto RepairYMCA Summer Day Camp begins June 2 at the YMCA Activity Center, 719 Wyatt Ave. Kid Camp is for children entering kindergarten-third grade, and Pre-Teen Camp is for children entering fourth-sixth grade. Call the YMCA office for registration information and deadline dates.

Preschool Sports of all Sorts is a program designed to teach children age 4 through kindergarten the various skills necessary to play soccer, basketball, baseball and football. Join Nate Bossingham, Y program director, as he helps the children learn about sports, but also sportsmanship and character, all while having fun. Stop by the Y office to sign up your child for a life of fun and sports.

The Y will host its third annual Y Run on Sept. 27 at 8:30 a.m. This event includes a 5K run and a one-mile run-walk. The event begins on the Hamilton side of the Logan County Safety Complex. The first 40 registrants will receive Y Run shirts, and awards will be given to top male and female finishers in each age division. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Proceeds from the Y Run go to the YMCA Scholarship Fund, which ensures that no family is turned away from YMCA programming due to financial restraints.

The YMCA is starting a new and exciting program. YMCA Biking Blast is a bike ride for both the experienced rider and the whole family. There will be a well-marked route, 30 miles for the longer ride and five miles for the family fun ride. Snacks and drinks will be provided. This program is scheduled for Sept. 6 and will begin at the Y Activity Center.

Summer Field Trip Blast is a new and exciting field trip program for children first-fifth grade. Children will be divided into different age groups and then taken to various local destinations for a day of excitement and learning. Field trip locations vary and space is limited to only 13 participants, so stop by the Y office today for the schedule and get your child signed up.

The YMCA has openings for the swimming lesson season. Lessons are available for children as young as 6 months (with a parent) through 12 years old. The lessons are offered in both the morning and evening at the Lincoln Elks Club pool. Stop by now to get your child registered.
