[May 12, 2008]  The following recalls were issued by various federal and state agencies during the week ending May 10: 

RestaurantBROIL KING GAS GRILLS 

Onward Manufacturing Co. is recalling Broil King Gas Grills sold nationwide from February 2006 to April 2008. The bottom of the cook box that contains the burners can melt or crack as a result of a grease fire. This poses a fire and burn hazard. 

This recall includes the Signet, Sovereign and Sovereign XL series gas grills. A complete list of the model numbers can be found at www.recalls.org. The model number can be located on the back panel of the grill.

SWING SETS 

Playworld Systems Inc. is recalling Playground Swing Sets sold nationwide from January 2007 to February 2008. The clevis bearing on the swing set can wear, causing the swing to detach and the user to fall.

WEIL-McLAIN GAS BOILERS 

Weil-McLain is recalling Weil-McLain CGs and CGi Gas Boilers sold nationwide from October 2001 to December 2007. If there is a leak in the vent piping, the recalled boilers can leak carbon monoxide (CO) into the buildings in which they are installed, posing a risk of CO poisoning. 

The recall involves cast iron, gas-fired boilers used for space heating. The following model names and serial numbers are included in the recall.

Williamson-Thermoflo is recalling Williamson-Thermoflo GWS and GWI Gas Boilers sold nationwide from October 2001 to December 2007. TJ Power Sports LLC is recalling Twister Hammerhead Dune Buggies sold nationwide from July 2004 to December 2004. The seat belt adjustment for the shoulder buckle can break during impact or stress, posing an ejection and injury hazard to driver and passenger. 

This recall involves the dune buggies "Twister Hammerhead" with model number UM150IIR and model year 2004. The dune buggies were available in red, blue, or green. "Twister Hammerhead", the model number, and the model year can be found imprinted on the bar behind the driver and passenger seats.

PRESSURE WASHERS 

Fingerhut Direct Marketing is recalling Master Craft® Pressure Washers sold exclusively by Fingerhut nationwide from July 2007 to March 2008. The motor on the pressure washer can overheat, posing a fire hazard. 

This recall involves Master Craft® pressure washers with model number ABW-3100G. The model number is located on a label under the handle. The pressure washer has a yellow housing and the name, Master Craft® printed on the side. 

Consumers should return the pressure washer to Fingerhut for a refund or replacement product. Fingerhut is directly contacting purchasers of the pressure washers.

BABY BOTTLE AND FOOD WARMERS 

Munchkin Inc. is recalling Deluxe Bottle and Food Warmers sold nationwide from June 2007 to April 2008. The bottle and food warmers can overheat, posing a fire hazard. 

This recall involves the Munchkin Deluxe Bottle and Food Warmer with Pacifier Cleaning Basket 2-in-1 Design, model #13301 and lot number TP-1487. "Munchkin" is located on the front of the warmer and “TP-1487” is located on the bottom. Only warmers bearing lot number "TP-1487" are included in this recall.

AMERICAN HONDA ATVS 

American Honda Motor Co. is recalling Model Year 2008 Honda TRX500 ATVs sold nationwide from October 2007 to March 2008. The electric power steering shaft of the recalled ATVs could break unexpectedly, resulting in the rider’s losing steering control. This poses a risk of injury or death to riders. 

This recall involves Model Year 2008 Honda TRX500 ATVs equipped with electric power steering, also known as the Honda FourTrax Foreman 4X4 with electric power steering. "Honda" and wing logo are printed on the fuel tank and "TRX500" is printed on the side panel just below the seat. 

Consumers should contact any Honda ATV dealer to make an appointment for a free repair.
