Duo accused of stealing items, including ashes urn

[November 05, 2008]  LITCHFIELD, Conn. (AP) -- Police said a couple went on a break-in binge, stealing all sorts of items including an urn with human ashes. Police said a 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman broke into several business to support their drug habit. They are now also charged with stealing possessions from area homes including electronics, cash, jewelry and an urn with human remains.

DonutsThe couple were arraigned Monday and police say they admitted they stole from 18 homes and businesses in Sherman, Roxbury and New Milford.

They are due back in Litchfield Superior Court on Nov. 18.
