[November 05, 2008]  On one of the last warm days of fall, the hearts of seniors in Logan and Mason counties were also warmed. On Tuesday, Eaton Corp. presented a $30,000 grant to Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois in support of senior programs.

As part of Eaton's corporate grant program, a committee of Eaton employees selected Community Action as one of their grant recipients. Several representatives of Eaton gathered in front of a Senior Transportation van with Community Action staff to celebrate the occasion.

Restaurant"We are so grateful to have Eaton Corp. in our community. Their support makes a tremendous difference to our efforts to operate our services for seniors," said Angela Stoltzenburg. "Community Action makes a difference in the lives of seniors and their families, and we are very appreciative of Eaton's support."

Community Action provides a variety of services to low-income individuals of all ages and seniors throughout central Illinois. Logan and Mason County individuals interested in learning more about senior services should call Community Action at 217-732-2159, ext. 4, or visit capcil.org for more information.
