[November 06, 2008]  Along with the upcoming 200th anniversary of Lincoln's birthday is the 150th anniversary of the Lincoln-Douglas debates. History will be recalled and brought to life at Lincoln College when "Reunion Tour '08" performs on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Johnston Center for Performing Arts.

"Reunion Tour '08" looks back at the Lincoln-Douglas debates of 1858 in the style of a modern-day press conference where actors reminisce, wrangle and field questions from the audience and a panel of six local media personalities and history buffs. This performance promises to bring authentic arguments, undeniable drama and humor.

George Buss of Freeport will portray Abraham Lincoln, and Tim Connors, also of Freeport, will play Stephen A. Douglas. Edward Finch will play Capt. Silas Terry, who serves as the moderator of the discussion.

A limited number of tickets are still available at no cost for this event. To secure tickets, contact Mary Jo Werth in the Lincoln College Office of Advancement. Call 732-3155, ext. 217, or e-mail mjwerth@lincolncollege.edu. Reserved tickets will be available for pickup at the box office Saturday night.
