YMCA gym rentals for
the holiday and winter season are booking up quickly. If you have a
special date in mind for your child's birthday party, family
gathering or a social occasion, call the Y to reserve your winter
date as soon as possible.
Only five weeks left with Lincoln's best place to get into shape.
The Y "fitness crew" offers Hip/Hop Dance and Punch/Kick Fitness
classes, which are gaining in popularity due to a great instructor,
no-nonsense fees and programs designed for all fitness levels. It
will be over before you know it, so don't miss out! Join now! |
Contact the YMCA now to reserve your daughter's
place at the free basketball clinic on Nov. 13, 5:30-6:30
p.m. Coach Carol Wilson and her Lincoln College women's
basketball team will host this clinic at the park district
gymnasium. All participants must be registered prior to the clinic,
so please be sure to contact the Y to save her spot. This clinic
will kick off registration for the YMCA Girls Basketball League.
If your daughter is in first to sixth grade and is interested in
basketball, this is an excellent league, encouraging fun and
learning. The program is proudly sponsored by Graue Inc. and Logan
County Bank. The next YMCA Party
Night will be Nov. 21, 7-9 p.m., at the YMCA Activity Center,
719 Wyatt Ave. This month all children in third through sixth grade
may participate at the YMCA Cheetah Girls "Our World" Party. Games,
prizes, and contests will be based on the Cheetah Girls theme. The Y
will also provide pizza, snacks and drinks for all participants.
Please register your child to reserve their spot at the party.

The YMCA Cheerleading program is still
accepting registrations. The cheer squad has already taken part in
the LCHS Homecoming Parade and game, as well as the Junior Football
League bowl game. The Y cheerleaders will be in the upcoming Lincoln
Christmas Parade, and we are inquiring about participation in other
community events as well. Register your daughter as soon as possible
so she doesn't miss out on all of the cheerleading fun!
