[November 08, 2008]  (AP)  A mix of rain, snow, and sleet was expected in the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes states throughout the day Saturday. No significant accumulation of snow or ice was expected, however.

Meanwhile, the Ohio Valley and the Tennessee Valley were expecting clouds and light rain, while blustery winds were forecast across the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest.

CivicA line of showers was to move across the Northeast throughout the day, with the precipitation moving over the Mid-Atlantic during the first half of the day and into New England in the afternoon and evening hours.

Light rain was expected to fall over parts of New England in the morning as well.

In the Southeast, a line of clouds and light rain was to cross the region quickly in the morning, with mostly clear conditions expected by the end of the day.

Over the Northwest, clouds and heavy rain was expected throughout the day. Flooding was a threat across most of western Washington.

The Southern Plains and the Southwest were to be mostly clear.

Temperatures in the Lower 48 states Friday ranged from a low of -16 degrees at Glenwood, Minn., to a high of 90 degrees at Santa Ana, Calif.
