The Transit Partnership Group of
Logan, Mason and Menard Counties met Monday and discussed the
results of a community survey distributed to over 1,400 individuals.
The group's purpose is to complete a five-phase primer in order
to access federal Section 5311 transportation program dollars available for
rural counties. The Logan and Mason County boards began their
process early 2008 and Menard County joined the efforts in
September. The survey results were the end of phase 2, and the group
will now proceed to phase 3: creating an action plan to coordinate
public transportation services.
