[October 10, 2008]  YORK, Pa. (AP) -- A woman was slightly injured on Wednesday after a 6-pound chunk of ice fell from the sky through her roof as she slept. The source of the ice wasn't immediately known, but experts said it might have fallen from an airplane or rocket.

Mary Ann Foster, a 66-year-old grandmother, said she's glad to be alive after a piece broke off and hit her on the forehead. The ice left Foster with a large bump on her head and holes in the roof and bedroom ceiling.

Foster said the ice has a slightly fishy smell and looks like quartz.
