--Unknown; 2000 Ford Taurus
Allen stated she was northbound on Monroe Street, approaching
13th Street. She said she saw the yield sign and looked both ways.
She did not see anyone coming, so she proceeded into the
intersection. Allen stated that the unknown driver came out of
nowhere from the west and she struck the vehicle on the passenger
side, causing damage to both vehicles. Allen said the unknown driver
got out of the vehicle, told her he did not have a license and ran
away.
The owner of the Taurus reported it stolen shortly after the
accident.

Accident on Oct. 12 at 11:35 a.m.; West Morgan Street and North

The 15-year-old female stated she was southbound on North Spring
Street, turning left onto West Morgan Street. She made the turn and
did not see the 10-year-old boy on a bike until it was too late. The
boy struck the right front of the car, then went onto the hood and
windshield of the vehicle, landing on the ground to the front left
of the vehicle. The boy was taken to Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 15-year-old female
was ticketed for failure to yield while turning left and no valid
driver's license.
