[October 23, 2008]  TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities said a supervisor for Tampa's initiative to keep its downtown area clean has been charged with felony littering.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reported that a 37-year-old man who works for the Tampa Downtown Partnership's Clean Team, has been dumping lawn debris and miscellaneous household items on various streets in a Gibsonton subdivision since September.

Besides supervising Tampa's Clean Team, the man owns a lawn care business.

Authorities say the man was charged with three counts of felony littering on Monday and was later released on $6,000 bail.
