[October 27, 2008]  The following recalls were issued by various federal and state agencies during the week ending Oct. 25: 

DROP SIDE CRIBS

Delta Enterprise Corp., of New York, N.Y., is recalling drop side cribs sold nationwide from January 2000 to January 2007. The crib's drop side can detach when the spring peg is not engaged, which can cause an entrapment and suffocation risk.

The recall involves all Delta drop side cribs manufactured prior to 2006 that use "Crib Trigger Lock with Spring Peg" drop side hardware design. The recalled model numbers and country of origin include: 4340, 4343, 4520, 4600, 4620, 4624, 4625, 4629, 4660, 4665, 4720, 4750, 4751, 4850, 4855, 4857, 4880, 4920, 4925-2, 4925-2B, 4925-6, 4980, and 8605. The model number, country of origin and manufacture dates are located on top of the mattress support board. The recalled cribs have Delta's name and address on the mattress support boards and Delta's logo on the teether rail.

Delta Enterprise Corp., of New York, New York., is announcing the recall to replace missing safety pegs involving drop side cribs sold nationwide from January 1995 to September 2007. Failure to use or install safety pegs can cause an entrapment and suffocation risk to infants and toddlers.

The recall involves all Delta cribs manufactured in Taiwan or Indonesia, with the "Crib Trigger Lock with Safety Peg" drop side hardware design. These model numbers and country of origin can be located on the mattress support board label: 4320, 4340, 4500, 4520, 4530, 4532, 4540, 4542, 4550, 4551, 4580, 4600, 4620, 4624 (production dates 01/06 thru 11/07), 4640, 4660, 4720, 4735, 4742, 4750 (production dates 01/95 thru 12/00), 4760, 4770, 4780, 4790, 4820, 4840, 4850, 4860, 4880, 4890, 4892, 4900, 4910, 4920, 4925-2, 4925-6, 4930, 4940, 4943, 4944, 4947, 4948, 4949, 4950, 4958, 4963, 4968, 4969, 4980.

WIRELESS GUITARS

Performance Designed Products LLC is recalling Rage Wireless Guitars sold nationwide from June 2008 to September 2008. A circuit board defect can cause AA batteries used in the guitar to leak if the batteries are installed incorrectly, posing a risk of chemical burns. 

The Rage Wireless Guitar controller is designed to be used on the Nintendo Wii system. The guitar is blue or white and is 31 inches long. The guitar contains battery-operated LED-lighted fret buttons that go up the neck of the guitar.

Consumers should return the guitars to the place where purchased for a full refund.

GAS GRILLS 

Fiesta Gas Grills is recalling Blue Ember Gas Grills sold nationwide from November 2007 to June 2008. The gas grills can be assembled improperly exposing the gas burner hoses to excessive heat, posing fire and burn hazards. 

The recall involves Blue Ember liquid propane (LP) or natural gas outdoor grills. The recalled model and serial numbers are listed at www.recalls.org. The model and serial numbers are printed on a rating plate label on the rear of the grill. The cabinet style grill has two doors and is silver-colored and black or silver-colored and gray. "Blue Ember" is printed on the grill's hood.

LIGHTERS 

YMCA Trading Inc. is recalling "Gas Match" and "Ready, Aim...Fire" Multi-Purpose Lighters sold in New York from August 2008 to October 2008. The multi-purpose lighters fail to meet federal safety standards because they might not contain a child-resistant mechanism, posing a potential fire and burn hazard. 

The recalled "Gas Match" lighters have either a multi-colored red/white, blue/white or green/white plastic body, and a silver-colored metal nozzle. Each lighter measures 10½-inches long. The recalled "Ready, Aim...Fire" lighters have either a solid black, blue, red or green plastic body, and a silver-colored metal nozzle 

Consumers should contact YMCA Trading at (866) 950-9622 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday to arrange for return of the lighter for a refund. More info at www.recalls.org.

BICYCLE WHEELS

Shimano American Corp. is recalling Shimano Dura Ace Carbon Clincher Wheels for Bicycles sold nationwide from April 2008 to August 2008. Rim surface and spoke hole plugs on the wheel can cause a puncture to the inner tube, resulting in a flat tire. This can cause the rider to lose control and fall. 

This recall involves the Shimano Dura Ace Carbon Clincher Wheel Sets with model number WH-7850 C24CL sold for road racing bicycles. The rim has labels that read "Shimano WH-7850", "Dura Ace", and "Carbon 1380." These wheels are intended for use with high end adult road racing bicycles. 

Consumers should return the wheels to their local bike dealer or retailer for a free inspection and repair.

RIDING MOWERS 

Briggs & Stratton Power Products Group LLC is recalling Murray Front Engine Riding Lawn Mowers sold nationwide from April 2008 to September 2008. The two-piece fuel tanks on the riding mowers can separate at the seam, causing fuel to leak. This can pose fire and burn hazards. 

This recall involves Murray front engine riding lawnmowers with the model and serial numbers listed at www.recalls.org. The model and serial numbers are located on an identification tag on the rear frame of the unit. 

Consumers should contact the dealer from which it was purchased for a free repair.

GAMING SYSTEM BATTERIES

LeapFrog Enterprises Inc. is recalling Rechargeable Batteries and Recharging Station for Didj Custom Gaming System sold nationwide from July 2008 to October 2008. The rechargeable batteries included with the Recharging Station can overheat if the gaming system is placed into the recharging base upside down, posing a burn hazard. 

The Recharging Station comes with two rechargeable batteries, an AC adapter, and a recharging base. The recharging base is white with a green indicator light on the bottom. The Recharging Station for Didj was sold as item number 30676, which is printed on the box and on the bottom of the recharging base.
