Ag futures rise on Chicago Board of Trade

[October 30, 2008]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures rose Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery settled up 47.25 cents at $5.6125 a bushel; December corn rose 30 cents to $4.2075 a bushel; December oats climbed 20 cents to $2.395 a bushel; November soybeans gained 58.5 cents to $9.3725 a bushel.

Beef futures and pork futures mostly rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle rose 1.9 cents to 91.65 cents a pound; October feeder cattle gained 0.25 cent to 95.80 cents a pound; December lean hogs fell 0.48 cent to 57.57 cents a pound; February pork bellies settled up 0.57 cent to 87.37 cents a pound.
