[September 02, 2008]  PARKER, Texas (AP) -- Olympic gold-medalist Nastia Liukin has been greeted by flocks of fans at a welcome-home parade in her North Texas town.

The 18-year-old gymnast waved to the crowd Saturday while riding in a pink convertible along a mile-long parade route in Parker, Texas.

Liukin won five medals at the Olympics in Beijing, including gold in the all-around competition. She also helped the U.S. win silver in the team competition.

Parker, a town of about 3,000 people, is near Dallas.
