[September 02, 2008]  Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital is pleased to welcome Lynne Metz in her new role as Manager of Volunteer Services. Metz coordinates all the ALMH Auxiliary activities and events taking place in the hospital and around the community. She also serves as the main point of contact between the Auxiliary and volunteers with the hospital. Her responsibilities extend to management of the Pink Shutter Thrift Shop, the "In the Pink" Gift Shoppe, and the Lifeline program. Metz describes her job as wearing a lot of different hats. She builds positive relationships between the volunteers and paid staff and helps in the areas of public relations and community benefits.

Civic"My favorite part of the position is the variety of people I get to work with. I would really like to see the Volunteer Services program grow, and I'm looking forward to expanding it along with the hospital," said Metz.

"We are excited to have Lynne as a part of our team," says ALMH President and CEO, Dolan Dalpoas. "She brings a wealth of experience with her. She is truly an asset."

Metz spent the past 13 years as the volunteer specialist at Memorial Medical Center where she managed the gift shop and ladies' programs. She lives in Sherman with her husband and two daughters.

ALMH is a critical access hospital providing healthcare services for the residents of Logan and eastern Mason County. The hospital is one of six affiliates of Memorial Health System and is fully accredited by The Joint Commission.
