Lincoln Police Department reports for Monday, Sept. 8 Crash
on Sept. 4 at 1:28 p.m.; 1302 Fifth St., Lincoln

--Courtney K. Beard, female, 28, of Lincoln; 1985 Chevrolet
Caprice
Officers were notified of a suspect hitting several vehicles at
the 5th St. Food Mart. Haynes was struck while fueling at the far
east pump. Beard was in the store when Jackson hit Aughton’s
vehicle. The passenger in Beard’s car alerted her of the accident.
Beard pulled her vehicle alongside Jackson’s vehicle, yelling at him
to stop. Beard proceeded to block Jackson’s vehicle, preventing
Jackson from leaving the scene. Jackson struck Beard’s vehicle
several times as Beard maneuvered her vehicle to continue blocking
Jackson from fleeing the scene. Jackson eventually turned south on
Washington, and Beard pursued. Beard called 911 as the incident
began and spoke with a dispatcher as the events unfolded. Beard and
her passenger were taken to ALMH for minor injuries.
