Pujols homers to help Cardinals beat Marlins 3-1

[September 08, 2008]  ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Albert Pujols hit a two-run home run and Adam Wainwright worked eight stingy innings in the St. Louis Cardinals' 3-1 victory over the Florida Marlins on Sunday.

 CivicAaron Miles tripled and scored on pinch hitter Josh Phelps' single in the seventh for an insurance run, helping the Cardinals take two of three for their first series win since Aug. 22-24, when they took two of three from the Braves. St. Louis has won only three of its last nine.
