Agriculture futures open higher on CBOT

[September 12, 2008]  CHICAGO -- Agriculture futures traded higher Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery rose 2.75 cents to $7.29 a bushel; December corn added 16.75 cents to $5.50 a bushel; December oats added 5 cents to $3.35 a bushel; November soybeans gained 24.5 cents to $12.005 a bushel.

Beef futures traded higher and pork futures traded lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle rose 0.6 cent to $1.0265 a pound; October cattle added 0.08 to $1.0865 a pound; October lean hogs fell 0.17 cent to 68.45 cents a pound; February pork bellies slipped 0.17 cent to 68.45 cents a pound.
