West Lincoln-Broadwell baseball vs. Greenview

[September 17, 2008]  The West Lincoln-Broadwell Wolverines opened Mount Pulaski Regional play with an 11-1 victory over Greenview on Tuesday afternoon at WL-B.

DonutsBrock Byrge, Dane Eimer and Joey Olden combined on a one-hitter, striking out eight Greenview batters in five innings. Byrge got the win.

Chance Baugher turned in a solid pitching performance for Greenview in defeat, striking out 13 Wolverine hitters.

For West Lincoln-Broadwell, Jordan Yarcho had two hits, including a double, scored four runs and had two RBIs. Sam Tiffany also had two hits, including a double, with a run scored and four RBIs. Seth Graue reached base safely all four trips to the plate with one hit and two RBIs. Eimer, Byrge, Brian Cade and Brayden Curry also had hits for the Wolverines.

WL-B next plays No. 1 seed Chester-East Lincoln at Mount Pulaski on Saturday at 10 a.m.
