The group of citizens, businesses and service organizations is
working to complete a five-phase process in order to access dollars
from the Illinois Department of Transportation. The money was set
aside for rural communities to enhance or develop transportation
services for their citizens. The group has remained in the second
phase of the process as they work to collect 1,400 surveys from the
community. The group needs to collect approximately 500 more
surveys. All residents, regardless of current transportation
needs, are asked to visit
www.capcil.org and fill out the survey. The deadline for
receiving this information is Oct. 31.
"Everyone should take the five minutes to fill out the survey and
help bring this service to our community. This survey isn't only for
those who need transportation services right now; it is for all
residents of Logan and Mason counties. We need to determine what the
transportation habits and needs are for our area," said Angela
Stoltzenburg, TPG team leader and Community Action executive
director.
