Agriculture futures trade sharply higher on CBOT

[September 23, 2008]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures traded higher Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery rose 19.75 cents to $7.3775 a bushel; December corn added 16.25 cents to $5.585 a bushel; December oats gained 9.25 cents to $3.41 a bushel; November soybeans jumped 61.5 cents to $12.05 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle rose 0.9 cent to $1.0245 a pound; October cattle added 1.2 cents to $1.0705 a pound; October lean hogs gained 0.45 cent to 68.65 cents a pound; February pork bellies rose 2.82 cents to 93.72 cents a pound.
