Agriculture futures mostly rise on the CBOT

[April 01, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures mostly rose Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery jumped 20.25 cents to $5.3275 a bushel; May corn advanced 18.5 cents to $4.0475 a bushel; May oats were unchanged at $1.93 a bushel; and May soybeans surged 47.5 cents to $9.52 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures also traded higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle rose 1.63 cents to 81.7 cents a pound; May feeder cattle gained 1.2 cents to 94.25 cents a pound; June lean hogs edged up 1.43 cents to 72.4 cents a pound; and May pork bellies rose 2.8 cents to 86.55 cents a pound.
