[April 01, 2009]  BOSTON (AP) -- A woman was charged with swiping a state trooper with her Mercedes SUV as he tried to write her a ticket at Boston's Logan Airport on Tuesday.

InsuranceThe trooper was not hurt. The woman pleaded not guilty Monday to assault and battery on a police officer and assault with a dangerous weapon. She was released on her own recognizance.

Prosecutors said a trooper directing traffic ordered the 57-year-old woman to move her idling SUV Sunday evening. After refusing, the woman swiped the trooper with the car's sideview mirror as she pulled around him. They said she then nearly hit him again and dragged him a short distance as he tried to arrest her.

The woman was arrested later on the Massachusetts Turnpike.

The woman's attorney said her client looks forward to her day in court.
