The new ordinance would solidify several policies that have already
been enforced within the county and would establish legal authority
to oversee inspections of existing private sewage disposal systems.
It also would create a registration system for contractors to
perform work in the county and would establish maintenance schedules
and additional restriction for surface discharging systems. The ordinance was approved by the Logan County Board of Health last
October. If approved by the Insurance and Legislative Committee, it
will be presented to the Logan County Board for final approval.
