Lincoln Police Department reports for Monday, April 6
Property damage on April 2 at 9:26 p.m.; 1500 West St./Boyce Drive,
40 feet north of Boyce Drive
--unknown Chrysler vehicle
On April 2 at approximately 9:26 p.m. Lincoln units were
dispatched to Tremont Park in reference to a passenger car that
struck a light pole and a tree before leaving the scene.
A witness said he heard a noise outside while he was sitting
inside his house. When he looked outside he saw a gold-colored
passenger car that ran over the light pole, then struck a tree. The
witness said that the vehicle backed up after hitting the tree and
left, heading eastbound through Tremont Park.
A search of the scene produced a couple of broken pieces of
plastic and possible headlight covers. One piece of plastic had the
Chrysler logo on it.
The vehicle had to have been traveling northbound through Tremont
Park and left the roadway continuing straight. The vehicle struck
the light post and continued forward to strike the tree. The front
passenger side of the vehicle took out the light pole and also
struck the tree, so the vehicle must have sustained light damage to
the passenger side and most likely is missing a front headlight on
that side.
