[April 06, 2009]  The Lincoln Railer baseball team took a pair of wins Saturday over Decatur Eisenhower and Decatur MacArthur.

DonutsIn the first game, Lincoln ran to an easy 19-1 victory over Eisenhower. Railer bats were led by Wes Neece, who went 3-4 with five RBIs, and Hayden Cosby, who went 3-3, driving in three. Sophomore Joey Burge notched his first varsity victory.

The Railers' second game, against MacArthur, was much tighter, with the outcome in doubt until Wes Neece launched a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning to put the Railers up for good 5-4 and cap off a three-run sixth inning. The Railers had only three hits in the second game, one each by Neece, Hayden Cosby and Will Fisher, but it was enough. Jenkins was the winning pitcher, throwing 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief for his first varsity win.
