Mich. teen arrested for drugs twice in same street

[April 10, 2009]  KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities jailed a teenager who they said would not give up on his goal to roll a joint.

RestaurantThe Kalamazoo Gazette, WKZO-AM and WWMT-TV reported officers found the 17-year-old on a street rolling a marijuana cigarette and arrested him. He was released after posting a $100 bond and returned about an hour later to the same street, where police again found him rolling a joint.

He was arrested for possession of marijuana and crack cocaine.

The teen, who was not identified, was lodged in the Kalamazoo County jail on the drug charges as well as for violating bond conditions.
