Community Action and Habitat considering HUD grant application

Insurance[April 11, 2009]  Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois and Habitat for Humanity are considering application for a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The Neighborhood Stabilization Program grant is an opportunity to rehabilitate properties or build new to develop affordable housing options. Logan County has been identified by HUD as a target area due to high foreclosure rates. A public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday at 2 p.m. at 1800 Fifth St. to discuss this application.
