[April 16, 2009]  Lincoln Community Theatre is taking a hiatus for this season, and in order to fill the gap for theater this summer, Lincoln Christian Church will be producing Gilbert and Sullivan's "The Pirates of Penzance." Performances will be July 29-Aug. 1.

DonutsAuditions are open to the public and will be on May 6 at 8 p.m. and on May 9 from 9 a.m. to noon. All auditions will be in the sanctuary at 204 N. McLean St.

Those auditioning should come prepared to sing a song. An accompanist will be provided. A cold reading from the script will be part of the audition process.

This show is filled with beautiful music, fast-paced action and hilarious dialogue, and it's a great evening of fun for the entire family.

All proceeds after expenses will be divided between Together for Lincoln and Harvest of Talents for World Hunger.

For information contact Tim Searby at 217-732-7618.
