Agriculture futures trade lower on the CBOT

[April 21, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures fell Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery dropped 18.5 cents to $5.045 a bushel; May corn fell 6.75 cents to $3.695 a bushel; May oats lost 7.25 cents to $1.8175 a bushel; and May soybeans sank 32.5 cents to $10.185 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures also traded lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle fell 1.9 cents to 82.62 cents a pound; May feeder cattle edged down 1.2 cents to 98.32 cents a pound; June lean hogs lost 1.32 cents to 72.3 cents a pound; and May pork bellies fell 2.67 cents to 82.05 cents a pound.
