Agriculture futures trade higher on the CBOT

[April 22, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures advanced Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery rose 5 cents to $5.095 a bushel; May corn edged up 4.5 cents to $3.74 a bushel; May oats gained 2.5 cents to $1.8425 a bushel; and May soybeans jumped 19.5 cents to $10.38 a bushel.

Beef futures rose and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle advanced 0.65 cent to 83.27 cents a pound; May feeder cattle rose 0.95 cent to 99.27 cents a pound; June lean hogs inched up 0.1 cent to 72.4 cents a pound; and May pork bellies lost 0.33 cent to 81.72 cents a pound.
