Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[April 23, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery rose 7.25 cents to $5.1675 a bushel; May corn slipped 0.5 cent to $3.735 a bushel; May oats fell 2 cents to $1.8225 a bushel; and May soybeans jumped 8 cents to $10.46 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures also traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle edged down 0.12 cent to 83.15 cents a pound; May feeder cattle rose 0.13 cent to 99.4 cents a pound; June lean hogs lost 0.03 cent to 72.37 cents a pound; and May pork bellies gained 0.88 cent to 82.6 cents a pound.
