LCHS girls compete in 4-way track meet

[April 23, 2009]  TAYLORVILLE -- In an all-Central State Eight quadrangular track meet Wednesday evening at Taylorville High School, Lincoln High School's Hilary Hobler brought home two first-place finishes and Bethany Rea captured one first-place finish. The meet pitted LCHS against three Central State Eight rivals: Taylorville, Springfield and Chatham Glenwood high schools.

Hobler's first-place finishes came in the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash. She won the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.9 seconds. In the 200-meter dash, she finished off her competitors in a time of 27.4 seconds.

Rea captured the 3,200-meter distance race with a winning time of 13 minutes, 57.8 seconds.

The Lady Railer track squad competes next at the Glenwood Invitational on Friday.
