[April 23, 2009]  The Logan County Master Gardener group will have its eighth annual plant sale on May 2 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Exhibition Building with the green door on the Logan County Fairgrounds.

HardwarePots of plants will be priced from 50 cents to $5 each and will be clearly marked with a color-coded price stick in each pot.

The group plans to have many tables filled with easily identified perennials, annuals, houseplants, vines and some heirloom vegetables. Included in the offerings will be hosta, daylilies, iris, purple coneflower and rhubarb. Expect a wide variety of plants for your selection.

Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions and assist as needed from selection to checkout and to your vehicle.

Proceeds from the plant sale go to the University of Illinois and are allocated through the Extension office to the 4-H Federation, volunteer community projects and continuing education.
